Everyone has that free-spirited friend who is always scheming her next adventure.  I can certainly relate as I have always had a serious case of the wanderlust. Most of these items are smaller gifts that would make great little stocking stuffers or as gifts to bring hosts of a holiday party.  Some of them were inspired by my own personal travels and were items I might like to receive as a gal who travels often.

1. Mala beads | Miakoda New York

These hand beaded traditional mala necklaces are available in different stones – this one is dalmation jasper.  Based in NYC, Miakado is a brand whose mission is to support the “rights of animals, humans, and the earth.” Well, that is a lovely mission statement if I’ve ever heard one.

2. Solid Perfume | Pacifica

Travel can get stinky. It’s also risky traveling with a bottle of liquid perfume. Solid perfumes are the perfect solution! This is a great little gift paired with some of the other items!

3. Monogrammed Journal | Happy Menocal for Anthropologie

Every travelin’ gal worth her salt owns a journal or two : how else does one record adventures on the road!? I love this particular journal because the monogram adds a nice personal touch, AND the water color animal paintings are adorable.  Menocal’s work is fun and whimsical, so I suggest you check out her website.  Be forewarned, you’ll probably want to buy one of her prints — they would actually make great gifts, too!

4. Ipad Sleeve | Matt and Nat

Give something your pal can use all the time!  This Ipad sleeve is sleek and stylish, and would suit a guy or gal! Matt and Nat are one of the first purposefully vegan accessories line to craft truly beautiful products. They are an environmentally, ethically, and socially conscious brand really worth supporting – plus, their products look great!

5. Passport Sleeve | Deux Lux

If you’re anything like me, you’re always losing something.  Having a nice little sleeve for one’s passport makes it a little easier to keep track of.  They also look really chic. This passport sleeve, by vegan accessories brand Deux Lux, is actually on sale right now! Get ’em while they’re hot!

6. Weekender Bag | Herschel Supply

This is a timeless, classic, weekend style bag with NO LEATHER! I’ve always found all the cute weekend style bags sneak leather in – whether it’s leather handles, or something as inconspicuous as leather zipper pulls. Happily, this one is Herschel’s cotton-blend, and is super durable for travel!

7. Shibori Dyed Scarf | Cape Cod Shibori

Scarves and sarongs are essentials when traveling: they keep you cozy on long flights, double as beach blankets, and still look cute all wrinkled up. This shibori dyed scarf is made from rayon, and hand-dyed using vegetable based dye in Cape Cod, MA.

8. Driftwood Amulet | Individual Medley Store

One can’t ALWAYS travel (if you can, let me know how you do it so I can join!), so it’s nice to have things at home that remind you of being in far off lands…. This driftwood necklace is really pretty and reminds me of something you’d find in the market of some town on a tiny tropical island.

9.  Travel Candle | Cat Bird NYC

Soy based travel candles in pretty gold tins – easy to toss into a suitcase! These candles come in 6 scents.
